With all of these subscriptions being offered, Kush, Slate, Pro-Tools, Play, McDsp etc it gets to a point where owning only exactly what you actually need makes more sense. )Īs long as they don't become sale shy after offering a subscription service, or change the demo system, I don't mind. (Maybe this isn't such a good idea after all. Sooner or later, they still get our money. They could even drop a 'renters' coupon in our account to go against future purchases. (Then we'd probably end up buying the plugs anyway! ) Might make Uaudio some coin in-between sales. What might be cool is if we could choose to 'rent' a bundle of say 5-10 plugs for 30-60 days, for a fee of say $30-50 dollars perhaps. They manage a timer on the demos, I'm sure they could manage it technically speaking. As a means to get me through particular projects for a relatively short time. If I were new to the game though, a subscription would be great stuff. Most of us don't want a subscription, probably because we've already invested knee deep in the plug-ins!
